I kind of cheated in finding her, she was the artist of the day on my igoogle, but I was immediately drawn to and interested in her strange realism. Her name is Nina Levy, and she has a lot of work that is primarily figurative sculpture that interacts You kind of have to explore her whole site to see all the really good stuff, but the floating heads are what struck me, being different from a lot of the other gigantic, figurative, slightly anamorphic work that seems to be invading the “art world” as of late. The particular form that the installations take (see the new work) seems like it would be imposing and really cool to experience.

I have to say, I’m slightly amused by the fact that the “gallery-goers” in the shot are all wearing all black. How artsy of them.
