Emerging, established professionals, illustrators, designers, and even student artists are welcome to submit. Once we have enough entries, we will list them on a dedicated page. Here are the basic [...]

Featured Artist: Andrew Archer

I absolutely love Japanese wood block prints and this artist makes work reminiscent of them. The spare and delicate linework, the dusty color pallete thats used in solid flat shapes.  It’s all very pleasing in that “I’ve seen something like that somewhere” sort of way.
Here is his site. Andrew Archer

Featured Artist: Levi van Veluw

Levi van Veluw is an artist from the Netherlands whos sole working surface is his own head. Applying different materials and employing various surface treatments, Levi transforms his skull into rather intoxicating works of art. His artist site can be reached here.

Adam Parker Smith: “Sunset Now”

It’s cool that Adam Parker Smith was able to show on my campus, because after taking a look into his life, he has done a lot in his career. His “Lazer Wolf” show was really a good punctuation marking our split with graphic design. It was fun and totally different from what we were used [...]

Jim Denevan – some daily zen

This guy’s work, which is very reminiscent of Robert Smithson (Spiral Jetty), fascinates me with the simplicity and beauty of being washed away at the end of the day, and the fact that it is all hand-drawn (no measuring whatsoever).  I love the idea of ephemeral artwork, especially dealing with time, cycles, movement, and the [...]

Featured Artist: Dan Tague

When I first looked at Dan Tague’s other work, he seemed rather familiar to alot of art students I know. Somewhat all over the place and producing work that has (no offense) a very “undergrad aesthetic”. It is not to say that is work is bad, but for the most part it lacks the veneer [...]
